Random Thought

Why do regular white collared shirts not look right with anything but clear off-white buttons? White buttons don’t look right. Mother-of-pearl buttons make them look far too formal. Black buttons seem off too.
My theory is that claer off-white is close enough to white yet different enough to help make the white in the shirt standout. [...]
