I was definitely not a fan of HTDW’s music upon first listen. I did not think the lo-fi aesthetic worked with the atmospheric, RnB-esque music he was trying to make. This song is good though and I’ve warmed up slightly to his music. I still think the lo-fi recordings take away from what this music could be and I really hope he aims for higher production value on future releases. though
